The Update Preference link isn’t automatically included in all campaigns – you need to add it manually to your email footer. Here’s how to add it:
- Open your campaign editor and select any footer block at the bottom of your newsletter
- Click the edit icon to open the sidebar settings
- In the Content tab, scroll down to the Unsubscribe section
- Check the box for “include link to preferences page” – this will create a clickable link for your subscribers
Alternatively, you can use the variable {$preferences} anywhere in your campaign. You can add this variable to a button block or use it as a hyperlink in any text.
This preference link is super helpful as it lets your subscribers update their own information without you needing to do it manually. When they click the link, they’ll see their current information and can make any needed changes.
NOTE: The Update Preference option is only available on paid plans. Which is why I had so many problems on my free plan.
